isnt it surprising and so simple to make the tiny ones happy. an unexpected bowl of popcorn, an occasional presence in the park, a surprise pick up after school, a new book to cuddle up with during bedtime.... of course, an active involvement of the parents are required. think i'll invest in a few movies too- sound of music, cinderella (lets all sing bibbidy-bobbidy- boo)....

smita we too have a 2.5 yr old son who is as restless and inquisitive as anyone. so we found the best way to entertain him to make up stories of all kinds. some times when we want to get across a message to hi, we try to make up a situation thru a story and end with a very simple moral. finally we ask him about the story & its ending after 2-3 days, and inevtably he remembers. this has somehow helped in forming bonds between us, though i & my wife are both working full-time.

quality time is the most productive time we need to spend as parents with our children. but, whatever we do - movie we may see together, play games, visit a part, call thier friends over, sit and play games, they sure do need us at all times. whatever quality time we spend does not seem enough of fulfilling. how do you deal with this? i have done it all with my daughter, now she insists i quit my job.
